SOMNIIS was founded in the summer of 2012 during Hampton University’s PERL program, emerging from a desire to redefine fit, intention, and expression within everyday clothing. Conceived initially as a response to the absence of well-constructed denim and elevated graphic staples on campus, the label began with a focused pursuit: precision in fit paired with understated elegance. Its first release, Good Could Be Better long-sleeve jerseys, sold out within a week—marking the foundation of a vision rooted in discipline, clarity, and restraint.
As the brand evolved, so did its purpose. Under the direction of founder Stanton Jordan, SOMNIIS became a platform for communicating faith, identity, and growth through design. Guided by Christian values and shaped by an expanding understanding of self, the label centers love, beauty, and versatility as its core principles. Each piece is conceived as both form and message—bold yet refined—offering garments that move seamlessly through life while carrying a deeper narrative of intention and belief.

SOMNIIS (from the Latin “dreams”) is a fashion and design label grounded in purpose, intention, and spiritual authorship. Founded by Creative Director Stanton Jordan, the brand is built on the belief that inspiration is not accidental, but divinely sourced—an ongoing dialogue between faith, creativity, and culture. Rooted in Christian faith and informed by the principles of creation found in Genesis, SOMNIIS approaches design as a disciplined practice: to create with vision, to recognize beauty and meaning in form, and to steward creativity with care.
Visually, SOMNIIS is shaped by sculptural silhouettes, refined utility, and an understated elegance influenced by New York City’s cultural landscape—sneaker culture, tailored suiting, music, art, and movement. With an emphasis on thoughtful construction, fit, and longevity, the brand merges traditional craftsmanship with a forward-looking curiosity informed by engineering, architecture, and systems thinking. SOMNIIS exists as a uniform for the modern individual—introspective yet expressive—bridging fashion, faith, and design as a quiet but intentional expression of inspiration in motion.
